Bids, budgets and decaying ads, handled in one message
Most LinkedIn budget is lost in small, boring ways: a bid left at the suggested number for months, a daily budget that never moved after launch, an ad that has been decaying for weeks. ZenABM reads your live Campaign Manager settings, works out what to change, shows you the math and applies the change once you confirm.
What it does
Three fixes for the leaks nobody has time to chase
Bid adjustments against the suggested bid
ZenABM reads LinkedIn's suggested bid for any ad set, the same number Campaign Manager shows, plus the allowed range and daily budget limits, live from the ad set's current targeting, objective and cost type.
Budget adjustments, one or many
Daily and total budgets can be changed one ad set at a time or as a batch. Budgets normally live on ad sets; a campaign-level budget only applies when the campaign uses group budget optimization.
Decaying ad detection and pausing
Per-creative performance is tracked week by week. An ad is flagged as decaying when its engagement rate has fallen for consecutive weeks, checked against the real frequency the audience has seen it at. Pause the ads, ad sets or campaigns you choose, individually or in a batch.
Safeguards on every change
Anything that touches live spend, a bid, a budget or a status, is proposed first with the current value next to the new one, and applied only after you confirm. The activity log keeps a record of what changed and when.
Bids
Bid relative to what LinkedIn suggests today, not what it suggested at launch
Requests like these become a single message: set the bid on the retargeting ad set 10% below suggested. Which ad sets are bidding above LinkedIn's suggested range? Move every Thought Leader Ad set to the bottom of the suggested range. Zena shows the suggested bid, the target and the current bid, asks you to confirm, and writes the new bid to LinkedIn.
- Suggested bid, allowed range and daily budget limits are read live, so an edit made minutes ago is already priced in
- If the target falls below LinkedIn's minimum, Zena proposes the minimum instead
- Bids only apply to manual, target-cost or cost-cap bidding. On Maximum delivery, Zena warns you and can switch the ad set to manual bidding in the same change if you approve
- Dynamic Ads cannot be priced, so they have no suggested bid
Decaying ads
Catch creative fatigue before the budget is gone
Creative fatigue rarely announces itself. An ad's engagement rate drifts down week after week while spend stays flat, and by the time CPC looks wrong the budget is spent. ZenABM flags the ad as decaying, shows how much spend is still going to it, and pauses it when you say so.
- Review the list: which ads are decaying, which formats decay fastest, and how much spend is still going to them
- Pause the ads, ad sets or campaigns you choose, individually or in a batch, after you confirm
- Plan the refresh: the same read shows which creatives are still fresh, so you know what to replace and what to leave alone
- Ask Zena to find your decaying ads, or run the /ad-decay skill from an MCP client
How it works
From question to confirmed change
Everything here is available in three places: by asking Zena in the app, through the MCP server from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and through the REST API. The MCP server exposes 93 tools and 15 skills, including tools that read suggested bids per ad set, update budgets in batch and update ad, ad set and campaign status.
- 1
Ask
In Zena or in your MCP client, describe the change: a bid relative to suggested, a batch budget change, or a sweep for decaying ads.
- 2
Review the proposal
Zena reads the live settings and shows the current value next to the proposed one, with the suggested bid and range where a bid is involved.
- 3
Confirm
Nothing touches live spend until you say yes. On confirmation the change is written to LinkedIn.
- 4
Check the record
The activity log keeps what changed and when, so the whole team can see the history behind every bid, budget and status change.
